3rd level Maths Grinds
(Engineering & Science Courses)

I have had students of all levels who came but as an indication of performance I currently have a engineering student attending who had previously been an electrician and who confessed to having a poor academic background with ordinary maths in the leaving cert. After a few years working in the construction area he made the decision to become an engineer and contacted me looking for help in qualifying for entry to his course. When he first came I had to start back at basics with him and progress from there through to 1st year level. This was done in a couple of months with a lot of work on his part. He is now well into his engineering course and happily is scoring among the highest in his year.

One on One

Pay Monthly*
35 Per Session*

Small Group

Per Session**
25 Per Person / Per Hour**

*It should be noted with the monthly rate if a student cannot make their session I will offer an alternative times for that week but if they don’t suit the student forfeits that week’s fee.

**Regarding the small groups if a student cannot make a session they automatically forfeit the fee but notes from the session will be sent to them. It isn’t possible to offer an alternative date as it requires changing the other students. Hence the low fee charged.

Students can either come as a group they have organised themselves, or if not they will be placed in groups according to their ability. The benefits are threefold: students will often share tips or help each other in any difficulties they may have, it facilitates the possibility for car pooling, and obviously the cost for parents is significantly less.
